Wine tasting and direct access to over 120 organic wines from the Marche and the Mosel region of Germany together with traditional products of the territory.
Daily entry pass (12 euros or 10 euros for members of ASPI, AIS, AIES, FIS, Slow Food, ONAV, FISAR) includes access to the tasting tables, wine glass, guided tour of the historic center of Ascoli, and participation in collateral events with the exception of the special guided laboratories.

WORKSHOPS

The tasting laboratories offered at Terroir Marche 2016 propose unedited lectures and involve both the wines of the Marche and the Mosel region of Germany, a vertical tasting not to be missed and a challenge to reflect together how to evaluate a wine the moment you pick up a glass.
Every lab will include from 8-12 wines.

The utopia and realism of a red wine frome the Marche that has made history

If there is a winery that has made history in the world of organic wines in the Marche it is Aurora. if there is a wine that has written important pages in the history of viticulture in the Piceno, it is Barricadiero. Born in a precise context-that of the 1990's dominated by the more diffuse use of barrels in native grape varieties, it has also always succeeded in maintaining a precise territorial identity, able to transmit the terroir of Offida in glass as well as evolve over time.
Today it is a grand expression of Montepulciano and this historic vertical tasting, guided by Francesco Falcone, will be a rare and special opportunity to verify this for yourself.

A polaroid of the white wines of the Marche in a classic year

If a vertical tasting is able to best express the distinctive traits of a single vineyard or a winery's style, a horizontal tasting of different wines in the same year can perhaps realistically show a photograph of an entire region and its productive potential.
2010, optimal in all of Italy including Le Marche is distinguished as a classic year with balanced maturation and was able to produce white wines with piquant acidity and clear, aromatic freshness. Now, at 6 years after the harvest, Antonio Boco will recount the evolution of Verdicchio, Pecorino and others wines of 2010.

WORKSHOPS - FACILITATORS

Francesco "Il Falco" Falcone - class of 1976, he is pugliese from Gioia del Colle. After a collaboration with Porthos and a broad recognition of italian native wines in the edition of Go Wine (Native it is born, 2008) he has concentrated his work on professional tasting and chronicler of wine for the project Enogea of Alessandro Masnaghetti, with whom he has been the principle collaborator since 2005. For 8 editions he has been one of the authors of Guide to the Wines of Italy L'Espresso and he conducts hundreds of independent tastings during his trips around Italy. He is a member of AIS, ONAV and AIES.

Antonio Boco - has been a professional writer on wines for almost 15 years. Among other things, he collaborates with the guide "Wines of Italy-Gambero Rosso" and is a part of the squadron at winenews while also finding time to give lessons, courses and seminars regarding quality wine and foods. He is the founder along with Paolo De Cristofaro of the blog tipicamente.
